About Our Products.
KittyMaille products are handmade here in America. We currently have our workshop in Bethlehem, PA. Unless otherwise specified, our products are hypoallergenic; made out of 100% anodized aluminum.

Let's learn a bit about this wonderfully lightweight, beautiful, colorful material!
What is Anodized Aluminum?
I am not a Materials Science major, so I won't pretend to know what I'm talking about when I say that anodized aluminum is a technological wonder - but here is an article from Gizmodo.com talking about what anodized aluminum is, which was published to explain the material behind the new iPad Mini (it's used for the back case... so it's behind it). ^_^

How lightweight is it?
One of the heaviest pieces on display here (the Japanese 6 in 1 Biased Collar) is made up of 431 rings individually , and a bar with a lobster clasp. Each ring is individually woven into placed and closed by hand, not soldered. Yet together, the Collar only weighs 2 1/8 oz. (60 grams). For something to compare it to, consider the weight of 2 CDs is about 60 grams. If you don't know what a CD is, consider that a nickle weighs 10 grams.

Despite it's lightness, the anodized aluminum is durable. If cared for following directions in our FAQ, each piece should be wearable for years.
What Colors Do You Have?
KittyMaille does not anodize our own aluminum, so our selection of colors can change on a daily basis. Once we run out, it may take us time to order more, so please be patient if we do not have enough to fulfill your order immediately.

Also, our suppliers have already added, dropped, and changed colors slightly over the past 2 years that we've been working with them. If you order a piece, and then some time later ask us to specifically copy it, we will make sure to get as close as possible.

We work with multiple suppliers to allow for a diverse range of colors available. Our current color chart is now up here!
How Long Will It Take to Make My Custom Order?
Every order is different. For many individual pieces, currently we would be able to have them shipping within 48 hours, but if you are ordering a number of custom pieces, please ask for an estimate.

If our volume changes to where this is not the case, we will update this section as well as make a more prominent display in our shop.
